Our recent Memorial Day, we accomplished two important goals set by our Vice Grand, Jim Walsh. Firstly, with his help the lodge set up a large donation to the East Meadow School District Music program in honor of Oran Merrill Brabbszon, an East Meadow resident who was a musician second class, of the US Navy serving onboard the USS Arizona, who made the ultimate sacrifice on December, 7 , 1941 during the attack on Pearl Harbor. A certificate and donation for $1177 was presented to the school’s music program on May, 13, 2026.
Secondly, VG Walsh spoke to the assembled at the East Meadow Memorial Day wreath ceremony on May 25. The Odd Fellows remember our fallen veterans and honor them. Thanks to all involved that day.
